WizMud is an online chat and event space with RPG elements, secrets, and some bite-sized gameplay.

I created all of the 3d models, levels, textures, animations, and effects. I also helped lead the gameplay design process alongside my teammates Manny Momot (Programmer) and David Califf (Programmer), as well as did a moderate amount of programming, marketing, and sound design. The music was made by Euglossine.
SOCIAL ELEMENT
MMOs promise a vast world to explore and skills to level up, WizMUD instead offers a centralized social hub and asks players to turn inwards, using a few open-ended tools to craft their own experiences. Communication between wizards often takes the form of a tongue in cheek roleplaying that reflects the lovingly parodical RPG world of WizMUD.
MECHANICS
WizMUD’s main mechanic is a system of emotes that players can chain together to interact with each other in unique ways. Besides encouraging varied social interactions between players, this system also allows for emergent gameplay to arise. People can use emotes in combination with items and game physics to reach new heights and secret areas. In this way experimentation through socializing teaches players how to get around in this world.
WORLD
Each offering a unique player experience, WizMUD is made up of three "Zones" that are slices of a once whole RPG world.
The first Zone players visit when they log into WizMUD. The perfect place to relax and fish up some treasure with friends.
The newly renovated WizMUD museum hosts an un-curated selection of fan art, and an ancient tome of knowledge, now indecipherable from years of players scribbling in it.
Once an off-limits area to the general population, the Mod Zone was a secret paradise for moderators of the game. Now its used by all as a social hub and party zone.
EVENTS
WizMUD has been host to a number of events such as Youtube viewing parties, live DJ sets, art exhibitions, and an annual Halloween event. In addition to these official events, players can get together in Mod Zone and put on their own shows and events.
Every Halloween, WizMUD is home to the world's largest online haunted maze (Guinness World Records verification pending). Live the experience vicariously through these tweets.
THE COMMUNITY
WizMUD's goal is to give players the means to create a personal and memorable experience, and to leave their own mark on the game. It's community of friendly wizards are continually achieving this through inventing acrobatic tricks, making new friends, digging for secrets, preforming amazing feats, creating fan art, speedrunning, and more; even taking to the streets to spread the word. Whether a die hard wizard, or just passing through, WizMUD hopes that players leave with something new, and maybe leave something behind too.
